new oldies

Does anyone know if there are any stations in the Cincy Dayton area that are planning to fill the oldies or adult standards formats ?The trend away from oldies is due to the thought that oldies listeners do not buy anthing. With baby boomers being the largest segment of population,it would seem there is a huge market for the baby boomers disposable income. Why is the trend away from that audience?

You can find lots of threads on the oldies board that deal with why stations are dropping oldies formats, no need to repeat them here. I don't see anyone in Cincinnati or Dayton flipping to oldies anytime soon. There is an AM oldies station in Springfield.

Even though they are owned by a religious organization, I believe they only air religious programing on Sunday mornings. I think their music variety is great, Bob Roberts (Formally of Oldies 95) runs things.

I have heard it is mostly voice tracked except for Bob Roberts afternoon drive. Also have heard some religious type programs at noon weekdays and maybe on Saturday.

Inspirational messages twice an hour, but only blocked religious programs on Sundays. Right now live 6am-6pm.
