J Alex Bowab said:Obviously one of them was WQUE Q-93 (93.3) New Orleans. Interesting item about this station. When it was sold separately from WDSU TV around 1973, it changed from WDSU FM to WQUE. It was beautiful music. A few years later, it went automated Top 40 using the TM StereoRock format, and kept the call letters. Then it went live top 40, still keeping the same calls. Later on, it went Urban Contemp, and still kept the WQUE calls. Stations today tend to change call letters frequently; it is interesting that 93.3 has stayed with the same calls thru several formats over a period of nearly 40 years.
