The same goes here from Boston. We're with you and know that N.O. will once again rise to the task. I've been watching WWL-TV/Channel 4 (on the web) everynight since Sunday. One can only imagine what you people are going through, right now. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

God bless.<P ID="signature">______________

Blessings from Hartford/Springfield area.

We know things are tough for you and we're all keeping our fingers crossed for you from up here in the Northeast...

Re: New Orleans -- Boston Loves You

Like Peter George, I also call the Boston area my home.

I've also been watching the WWL-4 webstream (and sometimes, that of WDSU-6) off and on over the last few days.

Both stations have done fantastic jobs in covering the story despite the problems the stations have had in doing so.

I hope that at the September 18th Primetime Emmy Awards, these two stations (and any others in the region who went with wall-to-wall storm coverage over several days) will be recognized with special Emmy Awards by the Academy Of Television Arts And Sciences for their magnificent work under extremely trying circumstances.

During this emergency, WWL and WDSU have fulfilled the FCC's mandate that television stations the agency licenses are to serve "the public interest, convienence and necessity" in their local areas. That alone is why I hope they will be given special Emmy Awards in recognition of their efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Re: NEW ORLEANS -- CINCINNATI'S THINKING AND TRYING TO HELP

We've got phone numbers for the Red Cross on the web sites of our stations. We've got the local NBC affiliate doing a telethon...Lots of drop off points for supplies and donations including Paul Brown Stadium Friday night for the Bengals-Colts pre-season game.

I know it's not much, but God, we hope we can make a difference.

Stay strong. You'll be back!

NEW ORLEANS -- SEATTLE LOVES YOU

I hope everyone down in NOLA is safe. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

NEW ORLEANS -- NASHVILLE LOVES YOU!

I'm sitting here a few miles from the home of Andrew Jackson, who saved New Orleans a long time ago. Right now, TN National Guard troops and civilians are flying your way from Nashville, to help out again.

I grew up about 100 miles from NO, and my hometown is heavily damaged. I got to see your city many times in my life, (including my honeymoon) and am now heartbroken. I always worried this would happen, and it did.

God Bless.

Re: NEW ORLEANS - THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA LOVES YOU!!!

After hearing the tragic news that you all got hit by Katrina, all of our thoughts and prayers are with you in these horrific times of devastation. We had our small share of hits, but nothing really major except a few downed power lines and some loss of communications by phone. But nevertheless, we continue to perservere.

To all of the loved ones that are still in areas other than New Orleans, you also have our prayers here in the Delta as well. Stay strong and pray for a brighter day because God will bring you out of these situations. It will take time, but you will come out of it one way or another.

And our condolennces to those who didn't make it from the wrath of Katrina.
