New Orleans Song Title References

Serious question. Anyone know of any stations removing songs from playlists that have references to New Orleans or nearby areas? Some come to mind: "The Battle of New Orleans"--Johnny Horton; "Way Down Yonder in New Orleans"--Freddie Cannon; "New Orleans"--U.S. Bonds; "Blue Bayou"-- Orbison/Ronstadt; "Born on the Bayou"--CCR; "Jambalaya"--Three Dog Night; even the Mississippi/Alabama referenced song titles.
Or even Katrina and the Waves titles. Some programmers and/or listeners may consider the titles a little 'senstivie,' others may not. Just curious. TNX.

Have any stations pulled any of these songs? Some, of course, are not necessarily offensive nor insensitive, but just may not 'sound right' at this time. TNX again.

Dylan's 'Tangled Up In Blue':

-"So I drifted down to New Orleans,
Where I happened to be employed -
...Workin' for a while on a fishin' boat -
Right outside of Delacroix".

Not a song title, but the Billy Joel song "Scenes From An Italian Restraunt" mentions New Orleans.<P ID="signature">______________

Have not seen any references....but my money would be on Mike McVay to be "first to act" (sorry -- been watching too much Celebrity Poker this weekend). Mike is kinda the Clark-Gable Posterchild for "consultant idiocy" when it comes to cranking out "stupid reaction" memos for stations to start jumping on programming because of obscure song references that will cause immediate tune-out. Anyone remember the 500-banished songs post 9/11? As I recall even stuff like "Tears of a Clown" was supposed to be yanked because of the reference to "Tears".

Ooops...gotta go. Have a hangnail and its shape reminds me too much of Mark David Chapman's profile.

Most Canadian stations have yanked the song "New Orleans is Sinking" by Tragically Hip, for very obvious reasons. The band is still not certain if they'll ever play it live. Thanks to CanCon regs, it was pretty big hit for them.

THANKS Arnold...that's the kind of answer I was looking for; anyone know of any other titles pulled such as the ones I mentioned in my very first post?
TNX again. 70radio
