New Orleans Stations...which ones should flip?

There are acouple of stations in New Orleans that are doing awful rating eise and are just awful stations. First of all the worst is Rockin Country. This station is as good as crap. I used to kisten to sig and vydra in the morning. Not anymore. If I wanted to listen to country I'd listen to 101.1. That bitch needs flipping. Although I do like the Diva format, I dont think it is working well. Although I do enjoy Marc Preston, the diva slogan has gotta go. Why did they bring him in anyway? Is Johnny gone?? I wouldnt mind seeing it flipped to a hotc ac/top 40. 94.9 should also be flipped and to what I dont know. All these stations are just pissing away the signal with crap except diva which is ok.

I to use to listen to the morning train wreck to. But not any more. They are not suited for this rocking garbage format, they are better suited for a modern rock format

Ok here are my votes....

92.3 .. needs to be gone like yesterday.. personal opinion would be Active Rock with real people who do the format not want to bes ... But moving over to a hot a/c would still be a big movement.

94.3 .. readjust the personal jukebox either classic hits or oldies... stop playing guessing games

94.9 .. This frequency has lost all thunder and is possibly moving to Lafourche parish (transmitter). Stop the insanity and flip it.. classic hits or oldies would probably do good here.

95.7 .. ADD NEW ROCK.... Evanescene's "bring me to life" and the apparently personal collection of Green Day (as they are playing songs off "american idiot") are not the newest songs.. add more new rock or flip classic rock and let someone else new rock

99.5 .. either flip to news (which in my opinion would be stupid as s^!$) or turn new rock in the style of CC rocker WUSW in Hattiesburg.. Shame some of the best CC stations are at market 100 and above sometimes)

101.9 ... Ok Kool 95.7/105.3 is gone.. you don't need to add music way out of what people are normally used to listening to.. If this wasn't a work station, it would be a train wreck I think at times.. reminding more of a variety hits station than a soft a/c

104.1 .. IF this thing wasn't making money for CC, I'd say flip in a heartbeat and flip to rock like WUSW

106.1 ... If something doesn't click soon, we may find NOLA's new soft rock station (or at least the new orleans northshore)

106.7 ... Wholesale stripping of the station.. the signal was weak in my area at times so I'd rather a new rocker on another tower (and get sig and vydra on a rock station please)... This station needs blowing up and make it into a new country station.. go after the youth market that get's bored with Eddie edwards on WNOE.. top 40 country under a new country name...

on the am side:

690 ..needs to get back WTIX callsign and the oldies.. just that would kick wtix-fm

730 ... Forget the southshore and go mainly norhtshore news

1060.. Give this man another station and put the signal to good use instead.. music format IMO or the best place to make a powerhouse to go after WWL

1350.. Forget the WWL on demand... That's called the oh S*&^ factor... as in lets dump air america that ain't helping us and go with something that will bring ratings... WWL redeux!!! (with decision apparently made in about 4 hours).. Hell make it classic country.. Format no one has here (for the rednecks)

1450 .. If you are aiming for listeners of Hanna Montana.. make sure they can hear you 20 miles out of town

I agree with GJRousse... Gisclair is making him a little money with KLRZ/KLEB/KANE (his land mobile business is probably some of the bulk though) and the emotional outpouring after he was found out about the sale.. I don't expect him to flip anytime soon, with the new tower helping out in the bayou region... no change I don't think on 100.3

RFLA: you nailed it right on the head
94.3: Agree, but when will they go to full power
94.9,104.1,106.1: Anything is better than this.
106.7: Vidra tells everybody at Voodoo fest when they will be back as alt rock. You don't change it at last minute because somebody at corporate don't like the music.
640: When it goes back on the air either talk, oldies, or classic country. No more religous radio .To many on air already
690: Damm Right!
1060/1450: Swap format or pull the plug on 1060 all together
1230(WBOK)Why bother? It never had listeners since it was an RnB in the 70"s. If you want to spend money repairing it then go with a Blues, Jazz Mix, or classic Country format.
Radio Engineer: Do you think it is worth the trouble and money to bring this 1230 back.

On KTIB, There are questions but the guy who is buying it I think is the same one who help with acquiring radio stations for a group up in Dallas, and they run a few formats including one as classic country (Actually LMAing from Clear Channel the amer)..So since oldies and talk didn't seem to work, going back with a country format (albeit one that would be playing the same songs that KTIB had in the 70s and 80s) would be an improvement.

None of these corporate, programming geniuses have a clue. Switching 690 back to WTIX and going oldies would be a hoot. Even just to see Miguel Costello squirm and then kick his arrogant butt in the ratings. Plus, Mitchell would have a job when Entercom cuts him lose at years end.
