NEW PD COMING TO WMGK?

From Radio And Records: "Wasn't that WMGK/Philadelphia PD Cruze we spotted in the VIP section of the "Non-Denominational Christmas Show," sponsored by WWDC (DC101)/Washington last weekend?" The Clear Channel rocker is currently searching for a new program director.....

How about they pull Debella off the air and make him PD? I'm sure he would love to run that station.

wow..make debella PD of WMGK? I was being sarcastic. That guy is too self absorbed to think of anyone else but himself, how could that be good for programming a station? Its WMGK, not WDellBA. Maybe when he gets his ratings up as high as Debbi and Andre should they consider him for PD. Andre would be a better choice for that job. He actually cares about the entire station, not just his show.

You're half right.

Would you please stop posting such funny stuff while I'm surfing R-I and drinking a cup of coffee? I hate having a Latte spew out my nose. :p

Cruze Ready To Rock D.C.
Dec. 14, 2006
By Kevin Carter

As we strongly hinted several days ago, Cruze, PD of Greater Media classic rock WMGK/Philadelphia, has been named PD of Clear Channel alternative WWDC (DC101)/Washington, D.C. The position has been open since Rick Schmidt left in October.

"This is truly the opportunity of a lifetime for me," Cruze tells R&R. "DC101 is an amazing station, starting with ‘Elliot In The Morning,’ and I absolutely love the vibe that [VP/market manager] Dave Pugh and [OM] Jeff Kapugi have created at CC/D.C. While I am saddened to leave a great situation here at WMGK after three years, I'm excited to have the privilege of programming such an important station in a format that I love."

You people really take me out, what is wrong with John, the guy has the knowledge, talent and experience. Why not pick on that moron Chio pet or the piped in racist Joyner, I guess you are the same people that always pick up for the urban influenced humans, when I bash them.

Check his daypart numbers..the morning show is suppose to set the tone for the rest of the day parts (like in the case of WMMR), in WMGK'S case, the morning show trends WAY BEHIND mid-day and afternoon drive programming. There is no doubt debelly was once talented, he just isn't showing it anymore on the air. Could he be a good programmer? I doubt it, he isn't humble enough in order to be managed by the group manager. He will be his own worse enemy in the end. They need to find a PD that really loves classic hits that can also manage an ego like debella. Unfortunatly thats easier said than done..WMGK has a bit of a bad rep with major market rock pds because of the rep debelly has.
