New PD for New 92

Ex WCOS morning guy Charlie James to become New 92 PD effective Monday. He will fill the morning slot with ex morning co-host Mackenzie Turner doing afternoon drive. Regardless.....mismanager Chuckie will be controlling all shots until he is replaced.
 
Best to Charlie. Hopefully he can get them on track. But certainly the odds are against him with his limited resources.
 
At least some kudos to WCOS for taking it seriously. Why else would they decide to do a television campaign for Jonathan Rush during November? Most would take the approach that it's just New 92, but WCOS actually did some TV.
 
'COS should take him seriously. Charlie did a great job at 'COS in the morning. I think he vastly outdid Roper as eveidenced by how poorly Roper did when he came to -GASP- New 92. Jonathon and Charlie worked across the hall... but I think Charlie was studying Rush much more than the other way around. And that seems to be Charlie's style - a student of radio.

Look, I wish no ill-will to Jonathon. He is a good man and is still a good talent. But the public knows how Charlie was treated and after the screw job that CC pulled on him, I really, REALLY want him to stick it right where it hurts! :-*
 
I truly doubt the general public knows how Charlie was treated. How would they? And I would have to think the general public doesn't know Charlie is back on the radio. I know New 92 is financially hurting, but it's going to take more than word of mouth to get the news out that Charlie is working there now. They have to find some bucks or trade out some TV. One article in the declining State paper is not going to do it. I really want Charlie to do well too. I also respect Rush. Would love to see these two duke it out.
