I'm honestly surprised that Jelli lasted as long as it did. With streaming, the listener controls what she herself is listening to based on her own tastes. Jelli meant that some people were not only deciding what everyone else got to hear, but some people could also cut off songs that other listeners were enjoying. It's an interesting idea and I can see why it raised the level of interest it did back then (up til then, the interactivity of radio pretty much ended at calling the request line or meeting listeners at remotes)...but I can also see why it fell by the wayside. In 2021, I suspect any station operating that way would fail almost immediately and rather spectacularly.See: Jelli.
Maybe it can be 1210 AM's next format. (Just kidding.)
