From Radio and Records:Thursday, April 27, 2006Steve Robison New PD At WRAX/Birmingham Citadel Alternative WRAX (The X @ 100.5)/Birmingham has hired Robison as its new PD. Robison was formerly the PD/morning co-host at Alternative KTBZ (The Buzz)/Houston.Citadel Birmingham GM Dale Daniels said, "Having spent nine years with the Buzz in Houston, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge regarding Alternative music, and also has a great appreciation for WRAX as he has kept up with the station since it went on the air. Through the years he has followed the station very closely and as a result is quite familiar with what has made it a true icon."Robison helped launch The Buzz in October 1994 and starts his new gig on May 15.
 
Great for them! I wish The X all the best with their new PD.For the last 3 1/2 months or whatever it was when I last posted, I did some growing up and finally got me a nice mini-stereo. That mini-stereo can pick up The Rocket clearly and a lot other stations I couldn't pick up before. I have been listening to The Rocket for a couple of months now. I just want to say I'm sorry for the way I acted in the past on this board and I hope that you all would forgive me. If not, fine. I probably deserve it after months of complaining about the same old stuff. In the future, I will try not to act like a spoil teenager on this board and more like an adult.
 
SilentGreg..I'm glad to hear that your reception has gotten better. Sometimes, a new piece of gear does the job (and getting new gear is ALWAYS fun). I'm also glad to hear you've taken the time off to get a new perspective. I, as probably your most vocal critic, welcome your contributions back to the board. I'm no official of course... just another schmo on the boards.
