New PD @ KVIL

Jay Michaels Named KVIL Program Director
March 17, 2014 at 8:05 AM (PT)

CBS RADIO AC KVIL/DALLAS has named JAY MICHAELS as its new PD. He will report to SVP/Market Mgr. BRIAN PURDY.

MICHAELS exited the PD post at cross-town CCM+E Alternative KDGE (102.1 THE EDGE) and Hot AC KDMX (NOW 102.9) three months ago (NET NEWS 12/13/13).

“KVIL is on a new, strategic path,” PURDY said, “and we’re entrusting JAY with these iconic call letters. I’m confident that he will build upon the foundation which has been laid by RON HARRELL (CBS RADIO/DALLAS-FORT WORTH VP/Music Programming), who can now focus exclusively on KLUV and JACK FM. We couldn’t ask for a stronger team to guide our music stations in DALLAS-FORT WORTH.”

"I am so excited to join the incredible team at KVIL,” MICHAELS said. “As a Texan, and as someone who lives this format, this is a dream job for me. I'm ready to help take KVIL to new heights!"

Three days and 122 views later and no snide comments??? I'm impressed!

:cool:

==================================================

This isn't meant to be a snide comment ben but sadly,
I think it's more of an indication that nobody that reads these boards cares...

..

But nobody even takes the time to be snarky, complain about management, or about how awesome it sounded back in the 70s and 80s. I'm just so surprised! :rolleyes:
