New pirate in west valley?

Friday, 11/11/11, I was on west Bell Rd. scanning the dial and it stopped at 96.5. The signal was listenable to about the 14800 block or so. No commercials, no announcer, only two songs I recognized, a sitar Beatles one and Hagar's "I Can't Drive 55". There was a good song which I just googled and found to be "Love Walked In" by Thunder.

No legal ID at noon so I figured it was a pirate. On my way back going east I lost it around 75th Ave. or so.

It couldn't have been Storm out of Show Low because they barely come in way out in Gold Canyon.
 
I had a chance to listen to the NW Valley "pirate" on 96.5 this afternoon, and heard the obscure minor hit "Boom, There She Was" by Scritti Politti, among other unidentified '80s new wave music. I doubt it was the Show Low station.

There's been a number of "pirate" stations originating from that part of the metro for a some time now. I remember going as far back as 1998, when I heard "K-GTO" on 89.9 (I think that originated from Sun City). Around 2003-04, there was a pretty powerful signal in mono at 87.7 FM (no, it wasn't KUAT TV audio) - or maybe it was 87.9 - one or the other was present when I had XM Radio connected through a modulator kit in my car years ago. The music was very diverse, from dance/trance/techno, to classic rock, to easy listening.
