Theres a new station on in NYC and its more powerful than ever ,it can be heard in NJ all over
95.10 MHZ and the phone number is 718-421-6611 if you want to make a pledge.Remember to call in when they give away gifts only.Anyone else hearing this ?
I googled it :
Friends of Russian Jewelry
1100 Coney Island Ave
Brooklyn, NY 11230
718-421-6611 <its a jewlery store?
last digit coulda been 4 but I could hear them clearly

http://www.hyperadiofm.com/ << another thing that popped up for NY under 95.1......

Kind of ironic, as just a few months ago, I heard a Neo-Nazi pirate station on 95.1, loud and clear in NJ from Newark all the way up to the Lincoln Tunnel.

I've heard new pirates crop up in NYC on 91.3, 96.5, 90.1, 89.7, 105.5 and 106.9 recently.

Yes sir ,exactly thats what google pulled up under the phone number ..oddly i was thinking it sounded like a woman from a jewlery store doing the talking about donations. Its extremely loud in north new jersey, but its definately in NyC.EWith an FCC office right in NY,I wonder how long this will last.

Are you serious? Most pirates have been on the air for years and years. The FCC office will do nothing. Even if they manage to shut down one or two pirates or send a cease and desist letter here and there, the same, or new, pirates will just pop up elsewhere.

If I'm not mistaken, the FCC field office in NYC has a total of two employees. And they have to keep on top of the whole spectrum of communications, not just FM. If nothing else, there's no manpower to go after pirates, and it's a long and tedious legal process to get them shut down. So, in most cases, they remain on the air, and new ones join them.

Hey, if the gov't is willing to scrape together a salary for me to join the FCC and go after pirates, I'd do it.
