New Pittsburgh Urban Coming?

Lady Gaga?.... When did she become hip hop and r&b?

Cannot truly evaluate until I can hear the stream but from what I have read online this doesn't look anything like the heritage urban the old WAMO was.

The music feed is coming from Martz corp. offices in San Franisco. The Pittsburg studios are still being built so Im sure what we are hearing wont last long.

The problem is this is not the WAMO Pittsburg is use too. WAMO was a striaght Urban station Hip Hop and R&B. WAMO AM was Urban AC/Talk. When WAMO was on 106.7FM there was no need to play pop hits. Kiss was somewhat rhythmic and the former Top 40 B94 filled that purpose. When WAMO and WBZZ flipped Pittsburg became a very dull market. From what it looks like it might be somewhat Churban like WPGC which might work. Problem is they need to figure out what songs will work. That market hasnt had a Urban sound in 2 years. Not sure why the old WAMO failed.

WAMO-FM didn't fail, Sheridan failed as a company to operate a high-rated urban station in a major city and be profitable. It had decent numbers even in the post-PPM era, but Sheridan didn't want to continue to operate the station because they were too damn cheap to invest in profitable marketing and sales considering the station's numbers. It was embarrassing considering the station died on top because of inept ownership.
