New PPM eRANKS

The Radio Research Consortium released the following Non-Commercial Religious numbers/rankers for Sp'09. They're ONLY for PPM Markets, so your favorite station might not (yet) be included, and because it's RRC, they only list Non-Com's (since, that's their constituancy) so your favorite commercial station may actually fit in somewhere. Congratulations to those men and women who're working hard for the Kingdom of God. The stations are ranked numerically based on P6+ Metro Cume:

Weekly Cume AQH Persons AQH Share AWTE
1. KSBJ/Houston 634,600 21,500 4.1 4.5 hours
2. WGTS/Wash. DC 456,800 18,400 4.5 6.0 hours
3. WMBI/Chicago 331,600 9,000 1.1 3.3 hours
4. KTIS/Minneapolis 318,800 6,800 2.5 2.8 hours
5. KCBI/Dallas 180,800 3,100 0.6 2.3 hours
6. KFLR/Phoenix 141,600 2,600 0.9 2.3 hours
7. KSGN/Riverside 130,300 3,400 1.9 2.8 hours
8. WONU/Chicago 96,500 1,300 0.2 2.0 hours
9. KLRD/Riverside 93,400 1,900 1.1 2.5 hours
10. WBYO/Philadelphia 66,600 1,400 0.3 2.5 hours

Release Date: August 18,2009

Glad to see KSBJ doing well (they show up in the PPM which you can see on the Radio Info ratings page (for those markets that have PPM)

Also kudos to WGTS which almost got sold a year or so back glad to see their still holding a great share.

Great job to all the stations though.. Shows people are listening contray to what others may say.

Interesting mix of formats - some really traditional, some light CCM / PW, a low power AIR 1 affiliate, etc. Interesting mix of very conservative, light CCM / PW, and a couple of hot-AC, even a low power Air 1 affiliate.

Interesting that Chicago and Riverside each have two, both very different formats in each market. It goes to show, there is enough audience to support both, and probably very little crossover listening.

I was surprised that KLTY Dallas and WPOZ Orlando did not show up, nor did any WAY-FM affiliates.

I dont think Orlando is a PPM Market yet.. thus why no POZ. KTLY does decent in the PPMs in its market. I dont know if any of the way markets are PPM markets or not.

KLTY does not show up on RRC because they are a commercial station. They show up on Arbitron's directly and usually average cume in the 800,000 range and 12+ numbers in the 3.0 - 3.5 range with much higher numbers in their target of w 25-54.

Bruce-

Here is the link to the eRanks for the Arbitron diary (paper) markets from Radio Research Consortium for Non-Commercial Religious stations which contains both WPOZ Orlando and the Way-fm stations.

Orlando, by the way, is scheduled to switch from diary to PPM next year. The expectation is that the WPOZ cume very well could double, while it's share, currently a very healthy 5.7 in the metro, will probably halve under the PPM methodology.
