(August 26, 2013) Michael La Crosse has been named pd for KOST and HOT 92.3, effective September 23. La Crosse will oversee all programming for the two Adult Contemporary (AC) radio stations.

“After an extensive nationwide search, we’re excited that we found our new Los Angeles Program Director from within the great talent at our own company," said Andrew Jeffries, vp/programming. "Given Michael’s extensive music knowledge, management experience and ability to focus on the listener, he will propel both brands to new levels of success. Michael will be a great leader for KOST and HOT, and a welcome addition to our world class Los Angeles cluster programming team.

Wow, is that corporate speak or what? I mean, this is standard boiler plate for new hire announcements. I love the use of the word 'propel", like the stations really suck now, but just you wait until the new guy starts doing what we tell him to do, he'll do THAT so much better than the last PD. Blah, blah, blah....

No different than the classic "... has left to pursue new opportunities"
