New Ratings Are Out

Think both books are fairly good, both Austin & San antonio, was this the first time both ratings came on the same day? I always thought San antonio was sooner then Austin, but anyways, looks like the real winner in San antonio KTFM I wonder how much longer Bob will last at 2nd? They seem to be going more towards a mix 94.7 format than "we play anything" format.

Winners & Losers...

SAN ANTONIO

Winners...
KBBT-FM... still number one and strong, I don't understand why, but...
KISS-FM... still the strongest Rock station in Texas.
KTFM-FM... sounding GREAT and a great start, we'll see if it lasts.
WOAI-AM... a nice bounce, probably due to another Spurs championship run.

Losers...
KONO-A/F... not a bad share at all, but I think KTFM's arrival hurt them.
KXXM-FM... A "Mega" change will probably happen soon.
KELZ-FM... this station just can't find an audience.
KRPT-FM... CC was better off simulcasting Urban AC with KSJL-AM 860.


AUSTIN

Winners...
KASE-FM... still strong after all these years.
KBPA-FM... and I called this move stupid. We'll see if the Bob craze lasts.
KVET-FM... still one of my favorite stations and still strong.
KKMJ-FM... a nice rebound in the trends.
KLBJ-FM... maybe Classic Rock will breath life back into this station.

Losers...
KDHT-FM... took a bit of a hit in the trends, they'll be back up in summer.
KROX-FM... what's up with them? This used to ba a great station.
KPEZ-FM... or should I say KPEZzzzz. Maybe a "Mega" change coming here, too.

KROX?

What are they doing to cause the ratings to drop, anything different? Ive never been a big fan of the station because they play to much new rock/alternative crap, but i know alot of people like it.

It could be the announcers....like that night guy with the speech impediment....

Most of the jocks are not that good. The voiceover guy that sounds like he has a cold has got to go. Musically they are still decent. I agree they still play too much alternative and not enough of the hard rock acts. Perhaps more of an active rock lean will bring KROX's numbers back up. I have not looked at the past numbers for KROX. Are they on a steady decline in the numbers? Or is this just a recent slip up.
