Any thoughts on the new trends?

WXMA way up
WPTI way down

the max amazes me how well it did-- a sleepy old morning show that should be on WVEZ and really no other talent... ohh well...

WMJM still pulling better 12+'s than 'djx? hmmm...

I have noticed a bit of tweeking with the max they added a few old alt tunes just like heaven, enjoy the silence, end of the world and local boy peter searcy with believe and none of those songs have ever gotten much airplay before aside from wfpk. Now they should also add blister in the sun from the violent fems and a couple others that i can't think of right now. Give the lambert and lindsey some credit on monday mornings it is amusing to here a 50 ish yr old man with rapsta piece theatre rap lol

WAKY not doin to well. I would love to see the breakdown from 9 pm -midnight since they fired joe and brought savage on WHAS. I bet joe did much better. The fox beat lrs big shock lol. You can tell mainline is doing some things here to certain stations like djx well they were forced in to that with pete leaving and have done a few things on the max but have not touched lrs nuttin nada.

Time will tell guys and gals

LOL. I agree. This WLRS did not even reply to my MySpace message about bumper stickers or t-shirts. I know if Louisville was as big a market as NYC or L.A. there would be major changes.

They have the best local morning show in Louisville.

I still bet wlrs is gonna be sold swap or something how long can radio one and now mainline go on with a bloodsucking frequency that brings nuttin to the table okay they do horrific non talent and burned out grundge from 13 years ago yeah what a winner lol

And lambert and lindsey not the best but good. I like ben davis and kelly k better and for a change of pace james bickers on wfpk in the morning a dry sense of humor with some cool tuneage here and there.

Don't get me wrong.. Lambert and Lindsay have a great thing going -- they seem to work on air together very well, and George has always had a mini cult following, even when it was "Leesa and Lindsay" on MIX 102...

Bottom line, the morning show is great.. but totally out of the demo.. I'd love to see the breakdown's by ages and dayparts... how much older is actually listening to the morning show compared to the rest of the station.

WXMA's "way up" all came from one month. January. SOMEBODY (or somebody's close & personal friend) got a diary. You don't go from the bottom third of the market to all of a sudden top tier without a lot of *help*. ;)

I would be interested to get everyone's take on target demos for some of Louisville's stations. What the hell is the MAX's target. I can't figure it out sometimes. So I can't comment on their mediocre morning show being too old for the target, when I can't make sense out of what they do. Also WLRS - it seesm like 12-24!

Max i would think is 25-49 and lrs you are right on thats why they make no money and djx 18-34 females. The fox i think there main thing is 25-54 males. Kiss same as djx.
