9-5-2012 Just after sunset here in Central VA had WOAI 1200 San Antonio coming in nice and clear for about 20 minutes or so!

GE Superadio and a Grundig AN-200 Loop.

Good catch. I used to hear a weak WOAI at here in northern VA at nights until the IBOC noisemakers get turned on. Recently, the IBOC from Philly's WPHT 1210 makes it hard to hear any 1200 at night.

I even heard WOAI at night in Oregon once several years ago.

PHT definitely muddies things up, but WOAI boomed in for a short time.

The Big W-O-A-I has been heard a few times usually in winter on a good SE/Southern night. But never heard usually. WBBM 780 Chicago is heard more than WOAI here. Ditto KFAB.
