New "Revolution" Coming To 107.3FM?

Just saw the electronic billboard at the I-4 Fairbanks curve saying there's a "revolution coming to 107.3" with a countdown clock, 2 days remaining.
Anyone have answers?
Right now, it's Christian music.

The cox translator for WCFB HD-2 has spun their wheel of formats again it seems. Guess we'll find out soon enough what it will truly be. First it was Gospel, then soft A/C, now it's rejoice 107.3, Christian hits. I doubt they would stay with this format. Do they actually think they can compete against WPOZ?

No way would they put a translator on to go up against the "Z" stations. That's dumb. Cross off hit music, adult contemporary, country, and any form of urban or classic hits. What are you left with? A simulcast of AM 580? Doubtful. 580 holds it's own fine against the other sports stations with that solid signal. That leaves rock. OK.... so do they bring back a form of a hard rocking WHTQ or WDIZ? Although the call letters are elsewhere it doesn't matter for a translator. Can you imagine 107-3 DIZ? Has a nice ring to it. BUT..... I'm guessing some kind of new rock "X" format since they already have 97X in Tampa Bay and X102.9 in Jacksonville. Besides, 97X in Tampa Bay runs that semi-auto "you pick the music" gimmick with the web site and app. The term "Revolution" sure would lead me to believe that this is the angle they'll take. A sort of automated station run out of a closet where "YOU" pick the music. Yep, I'm going with that guess. See you in a couple days.

Theories we’ve heard: “A simulcast of AM 580? Doubtful. 580 holds its own fine against the other sports stations with that solid signal. That leaves rock. OK…. so do they bring back a form of a hard rocking [now-shuttered] WHTQ or WDIZ?

Now it is a loop of The Beatles "Revolution" with an announcement "Thursday at noon the revolution begins".

Look at the area covered by 107.3 for your answer

250w off the 95.3 stick. It's gonna cover parts of town that aren't demos representative of an alternative format (read: economically depressed...and black). I just can't see a rock format here.

Totally agreed! There is no way an alternative format can survive with the 60dbu covering pine hills.

they also have

mix1073orlando.com registered in April too?

Nice find, jaxdan3! I look forward to the flip in minutes. I'm hoping the digital clicks on the left channel will be fixed by then.
I am now listening on the 94.5HD2 signal. The 107.3 signal is pretty weak here in Apopka.

Pure Speulation

if it does well at 107.3 then Cox could Possibly Move X over to 95.3 and then Move power to 96.5
then put the Talk on 107.3

107.3's a translator. Stations can't originate programming on a translator. Of course, if they did talk on XX.X HD3, then it could be also on a translator.
