New RNO AM Drive Show - Are you kidding???

The New AM Drive Show at WRNO is Michae Castner and Robyn Walensky. Are you kidding? These two sucked when they subbed on air. Why bring in 2 outsiders who suck? They are not remotely entertaining.

Talk about crushing the Rush momentum. WWL must be dancing.

RNO must hope you get a PPM meter, considering you seem to listen to everything on that station, because you're the first to talk about it.
 
I punch around a lot. But I like to try to stay ahead of the curve.

And here I thought I was showing restraint by waiting for their second show before posting...
 
Ive listened off and on now for two weeks and its plain awful. I'm not one of the people who always says you have to be from here to be good on the radio but it sounds like two lifetime fm dj's thrown into a room and told to talk about the "news".

Are we sure this is forever? I've looked a couple times now and the morning show is not listed on the website.

I'm confused. Weren't they suppose to be the new local voice? Wasn't their big thing the "web-site"? Now its not updated with whos on and when?

Can they really think that one local show with syndication all around is going to take down WWL with a all day all night local legend kind of schedule? Garlands back, Bobbie D is a legend, Spud is becoming a legend, Bobby is a legend and Kenny is well Kenny.
 
The new Morning show at WRNO is terrible. The female host, Robin, said "We ate at a great Chinese restaurant last night on Carrollton, Happiness." Five times she called it "Happiness" before someone (not her idiot co-host Castner who also ate there) told her that it was "Five Happiness". Five Happiness is one of the best, if not the best Chinese restaurant in town. Anyone on the radio should know that.

This is just one example. I could cite more. Hopefully, given that they aren't listed on the station's web site, this is a part-time experiment. Although Castner is looking to rent a house in Mandeville.

The show is pathetic and they are clueless when it comes to topics. Monday everyone is talking about Nagin and Home Depot, they talk about garbage. Tuesday they're talking about the Mayor of Detroit, then they talk about Nagin. Who cares about Detroit???

Dick Lewis needs to pull the plug on these jokers ASAP if the station is to ever have any credibility.
 
Funny. This morning they are playing Rush music wall to wall. I used to at least go to 99.5 for traffic in the AM since they don't really do local news, so I could get it quick.
This morning they taught me that traffic in New Orleans is less important than Rush's theme song.
Idiots.

Have you looked at the web site. It is a jumbled mess. I wonder if Hanity will still be on. Now don't get me wrong I like The Pretenders: "Back to Ohio", but this is getting old very quickly:D ;D ???
 
Rush is on 11-2, Hannity will be on 2-5.

I'm guessing Andre will do 8 or 9 to 11 am.

No clue if they're keeping the horrible Castner & Wallensky or if they will be local in PM Drive (let's hope so. It would be nice to have 1 local afternoon drive talk show among the 3 talk stations we have).

Let's also hope they do it right this time.
 
Well it's 14:20(2:20pm for people who have trouble with a 24hr clock) and no Sean Hannity . So this brings up the question; do the brain trust at CC-NO think the listners want 24hr Rush or just the program buffer music and promos? What about Andre, Gerry V's show on Saturday, and Karen Gaudet's food show? Can somebody with connections explain this? ???
 
Everyone except the insipid Castner and Wallensky! Dick Lewis and his programming monkey should be ashamed of themselves for bringing in this stupid pair and leaving us with no local talk hosts.
