new rtv schedule

looks like wmfp lost the universal library does anyone care or watch rtv anymore???

The changes were across the whole RTV network. They didn't "lost" the Universal libary, the rights expired and the opted not to renew.

The new line-up is a mixed bag. Why they picked up some of that Canadian stuff is beyond me - perhaps a barter deal or something.

The Sony shows are a nice surprise - Naked City,Route 66,Starsky & Hutch and Police Story. Movin' On is a nice surprise - a true cult show of the 1970's!

Looks like they're stuck in an infomercial - not sure if it's WMFP's fault or if it's with the Comcast transmission.

Wmfp tv doesn't carry rtv's schedule 7am til noon(instead runs infomercials) so boston misses a good chunk of their schedule including a classic cartoon block saturday mornings but wjar tv in providence has rtv on a digital subchannel and they carry the whole schedule.

WJAR and the other Media-General owned stations are due to drop RTV for MeTV this year.

They were doing work on the Newton tower Tuesday. From 10am until 2pm.They had to shut the transmitter down.

Refresh my memory - but isn't RTV the retro television network? Or are you speaking of a different RTV?

RTN!RTV! same thing!Owned by luken communications. http://lukencommunications.com/
The universal contract has ended and i guess RTV desided not to renew it.I loved the universal shows but after seeing the same ones over and over again after 2 plus years i think it was due for a program change.

Also wmfp tv is suppose to run cold case files and cold squad(canadian crime drama) 12am to 2am mon-fri but chooses not to so it looks like beantown has the lamest rtv affiliate in the country.

They never opted to pick those up - WMFP runs a customized line-up, not the national. They never have run programing from RTV from 12-2am since they became an affiliate. It mirrors the line up of the San Fransisco sister station, KCNS

Actually, the lamest RTV affiliate is Palm Springs,CA - they run 13 hours of Infomercials on weekdays and 16 hours on Saturday, and 15 1/2 hours on Sunday. Then they run an hour of local weeknights 7-8pm. They only clear 2/3 of the programing.
