New Rules on Family Feud?

Yesterday while visiting with my father I had the chance to catch Family Feud with John O'Hurley on FOX 61 after their 11AM Newscast. I normally don't get a chance to watch FF because I work during the day and only get to watch the older episodes on GSN and ION. When did they add "The Bullseye Round" prior to the game starting and when did they start giving away a car?

I remember the Bullseye round. It was remodified in the 1994-95 season as Bankroll. Anyway, I do believe this is the season they started using Bullseye again....

Yep--Bullseye returned this season as did the awarding of a car after five wins.

Wasn't the "bullseye" gimmick part of the CBS daytime version of "Family Feud"?

When they went to the hour long version it was, and it then became a part of the syndicated version.

I could've done without the bullseye round. The car giveaway is fine in my opinion.

I could do without the new contestant introductions where they all introduce themselves while standing outside the building. That bad cheesy music they play during it makes it 10 times worse. That all started this season as well. Whoever came up with that idea should be fired.

But it's still only a 30 minute program. What did this current version eliminate to make room for the bullseye round?

The round with only 1 strike?

Instead of single-single-double-triple, they play single-double-triple (then tiebreaker if needed as before). They made the same modification when Bullseye was introduced originally.

Also, if a family wins five games in a row, they retire undefeated with a new car yet they have to play Fast Money one more time.

But the "$5/point if no win in Fast Money" has remained the same since day one (and I mean since the Dawson years). Shouldn't it be $10/point now?

Looks like half the audience is up on the stage now. Also the audience surrounds from all sides. I think they wanted to give it a stadium feel. This would explain why some of the audience holds up cards now too. What's next... Cheerleaders? It doesn't look right. Now they've got the car in the back too. I bet that in person that studio looks as crowded as hell.

Yeah, that Dausin was classic, not like Coombs, Andorsen, Carne or O'Riely that followed.
