New Sade CD!

Rumor has it that Sade's new CD will be out before the end of the year... But, who in D/FW will play it now that The Oasis is gone? KRNB? K-Soul? kxt??

From Wiki:

"She is in the studio and the album will come when it is ready," a source at Sony told Billboard. "You don't wait for years for one and then rush it." Sade's longtime bandmate Stuart Matthewman, a.k.a. Cottonbelly, also confirmed that new material is in progress, though he said the project was still in its "early days" and wouldn't be close to being finished until "later in the year." Maxwell, a fellow Sony recording artist, longtime friend and collaborator with Matthewman wrote "Trust me, it's so monolithic it'll shake you in your shoes!".

Luckily, Sade is one of the few artists left that are able to sale a ton of CD's with little airplay.

To be fair, they haven't released an album since digital sales have taken over. It was 2000 when we got the last Sade album.

That rumor has been out for a while. I highly doubt this is happening.

Sade's new CD Soldier of Love can be pre-ordered on iTunes. Release date is February 9. Nivlekbrad is wrong. Jeffdfw was right all along.

I've heard the single, "Soldier of Love" played on KRNB, and it was used on a commercial for an episode of "Lost" on ABC.

"Soldier of Love" is a single from the English soul and R&B group Sade. It premiered worldwide on December 8, 2009 and it was released on iTunes digitally on January 12, 2010. It is also the band's first new material in almost ten years, preceding their long awaited sixth studio album of the same name which is to be released on February 8, 2010. The song debuted at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming the bands' highest debut on the chart."

If you don't care you need not leave a reply - I am posting this info for those that do.

Thanks for the info/update Jeff!!

I'm not really feeling "Soldier of Love". Hopefully the rest of the CD will be stellar.
I'm also crossing my fingers for Erykah Badu's upcoming CD to be better than her last.
