NEW SATURDAY/SUNDAY AM GAL AT WSB-TV

Just heard on 5pm newscast that WSB channel 2 is introducing Erin Coleman, just moved from Raleigh, as there new Saturday/Sunday AM newscaster. Seems very bright young woman. I wonder what that will mean for Linda Stouffer!
 
Erin is coming from WRAL, which is also where John Bachman was from. They probably worked together for a year or so.

I also see that Erin has degrees from Brown and Columbia. I hope she doesn't use too many big words on us!

I wonder if Linda will co-anchor with John on Saturdays now too?
 
I had wondered what happened to Erin Coleman; she
co-anchored WRAL's weekend AM newscasts. Sloane
Heffernan replaced her in Raleigh, and it keeps a two-
female anchor setup (Renee Chou is the other anchor).
 
I just looked up Erin's picture. As great a job as Jovita does and as nice looking as she is, I think she has some serious competition for when Monica retires. She might have been promised she would fill Monica's shoes but if Erin anchors as good as she looks, Jovita might want to update her resume. WSB will never take that kind of talent and not find a way to put her on weekdays.
 
Linda S was doing news this weekend so Erin hasn't started yet. At least it doesn't look like Linda is getting axed like Kim Kennedy

We must be looking at two different people.. I have been impressed with Jovita since the first day, prefer here over Monica... when I first saw the new girl I thought she was a member of the "Red Army". Can't see her in the Atlanta market, I don't care if she went, Morris Brown, Georgia State, and Georgia Tech, she ant' got it.

I don't see that. I preferred Linda weekend am but the new lady was on today and seems smooth and good delivery. She did a few reports from the field earlier this week and was OK. I don't know that Jovita has anything to worry about, but Erin seems to fit right in to me.
