New Schedule for Antenna TV Starts 9/19

Antenna TV is rolling out is new schedule on September 19th. Lots of changes:

Some Highlights:

New Show: NEWSRADIO Sundays at 11PM Eastern replacing one hour of "Soap"

Movies on Saturday and Sunday Afternoons.

Less Movies during the week. Movies will now be airing 5AM-1PM Eastern instead of 3AM-3PM as they currently do.

And many of your favorite shows changing time-slots.

That's their new logo on there also.

According to sitcomsonline.com they are expanding their nightly sitcoms from 3AM
to 5AM. Again, I'd suspect this is mostly to satisfy the west coast stations. This is
a guess, but the west coast may be one of the most receptive areas for Antenna TV.

As much as I like "Burns & Allen," looks like Antenna TV is gonna overexpose that show. The novelty will wear off.

Also, they sure don't add many "classic shows", do they? I think that stations that cater to this kind of programming *need* to shake it up every now and then (and I don't mean by changing the times of existing shows).

(OTOH, I'm sure that getting the rights to other shows is the bugaboo.)

I'm shocked that NEWS RADIO is the only new show. Shouldn't there be some other
shows in their library available that aren't currently seen?

I too, am disappointed. I was hoping to see new shows since i've seen most of the episodes of the shows currently airing already.

It would be better and more interesting if they switched the 9 pm block (too much Married With Children!) for the 1 am block. I might actually watch.

And I agree with LibertyNT, I like the old logo better too. This one looks like a crude attempt made by a 3rd grader.

I'm glad to see Hazel is back in the day. I didn't get a chance to watch it first time through. I agree they are going to overexpose shows like Burns & Allen and Father's Knows Best.

Me-TV in Chicago also seems to settled into getting a schedule and keeping it. They haven't shuffled very many new, "old shows" in their line up in a long time.

Newsradio is barter syndicated through Program Exchange. Pretty much any local tv outfit could put that show on their own channel. It's probably costing Antenna-TV $0 to add it to the lineup.

What about EI shows? Right now, they are Mustard Pancakes, Critter Gitters, and Curiosity Quest.

Speaking of Critter Gitters, I suspect that there are some episodes that haven't been seen since the initial broadcast, according to tv.com. This includes a "lost" sixth season. Why haven't these episodes aired? They're not really lost forever, are they?
