They have been announcing all day that a new show will begin Monday on Huntsville's 106.5 Kiss-fm, but they havn't said what show or what time slot. The obvious guesses here are Elvis Duran for mornings, or Ryan Seacrest. Who knows, maybe both. Any other guesses as to what they may have up their sleeve? No mention of the announcement or any clue there of on their facebook, twitter, or web pages. I guess we will see when Monday arrives. I'm glad to hear new shows being added though, as well as local businesses buying airtime on the station.

Presumably it'll be On Air with Ryan Seacrest, but I hope they don't put the show in afternoons as Clear Channel has done in Birmingham on The Q. The "two songs and stop to talk, two songs and stop to talk" flow of the show just sucks the life right out of p.m. drive. One thing's for sure: They won't beat ZYP by competing with them on who can play the least amount of music.

How about a local show.
Local would certainly be the best, but since its a translator we're talking about its not likely. They won't spend that kind of money. It'll likely be syndicated.
Whit, I agree with you about Seacrest fitting better on mid-days but I don't think they'll put it there if that's what their bringing since the only local personality they have is on that spot, unless they plan to have no local jocks at all anymore. I personally hope its a morning show since there isn't one & Elvis Duran would be the likely candidate for that slot. I don't think they expect to actually beat ZYP with this translator, but I do hope it does well enough to be moved to a full power signal & allowed to become more localized so it can actually have the ability to truly compete full on with ZYP down the road. There's a lot of talk about the station around the city, but there's still a lot of people that don't know this station exists yet either. People just don't scan the dial like they used to. I know it's probably not in the budget to advertise the station much but I'd love to see at least some billboards or something for it.
