New show on FREE-FM? Just smoke?

Any substance to the rumors of a female host debuting shortly on 94.1? Rumors say she's getting the 3pm to 7pm shift.

If true...

* Would it mean Kidd Chris goes back to nights (where the show was better anyway) and the music gets shoved back to 10:00 p.m.? (And if that's true, who walks: Couzin Ed or Matt & Huggy?)
* Or would WYSP put us all out of our misery and deliver unto Barsky his 47 millionth Philly shitcanning?
* And... wouldn't it make more sense for the chick to be on from 10am to 3pm? Don't females tend to do better in mid-days?

They should just put the music to rest and talk, talk, talk. This would free up the format to be utilized by one of the many failing FM signals, take Matt and Huggy along. At least the rockers can have "ONE" station playing their music 24/7/365. Is the NYC radio chick coming to YSP??

I think its a joke that FREE FM advertises a talk format then I turn the station on at 6 PM and music is playing, make up your mind here!

here here. I think WYSP should keep barsky, afterall he gets nothing but listeners telling him welcome back and his show sounds great. Kidd Chris should be shitcanned, his show is pointless and his asswiper guy, live mike is a dud and his show is nothing but a couple of dicks with a microphone screwing around for a few hours. They could replace that wit Don & Mike or why not just give couzin ED a talk show. Ed did really well filling in for ol'BArsky a few months back.Nonetheless give kidd chris a The finger and a kick in the ass and hand him a pink skip as he goes out the door and back to no-talent land where he and live mike came from.

Don & Mike would do great on WYSP if they were given a chance... the reason they failed before is because they we plugged into YSP with a PD that didn't want them and they butted heads w/ O&A...

Actually, I think Barksy would be a great lead in for D&M... they both have somewhat of an intellectual sense of humor... don't get me wrong, they aren't rock scientists... but they tend to have more interesting conversations than say O&A or Stern.

When YSP was doing the mostly talk thing before (Stern, O&A, Don & Mike), I totally hated it because I liked the musical direction YSP had. I never liked O & A. I listened to Don & Mike a few times, thought they were OK, then I listened more, and I became a big fan of theirs. I agree with you that they would be perfect on Free FM, as it is now, replacing Kidd Chris.
