New Sirius lineup

I saw the new lineup for Sirius. I see it as basically Sirius with some XM channels added. Thank god most of XM is gone as I found it unlistenable.

All the same news guys are there, along with all the talk. A few comedy channels renamed. Looks like a good lineup. I am excited for the fresh change. Sirius advertises it as "Hear what over 35 million listeners can't get enough of". Guess they count the direct TV and Dish subscribers too. Its 69 commercial free music channels and all the political talk they had and what they list in total as over 139 channels. And of course all the sports now. Eventually they will drop the XM tag once it is all combined down the road.

will xm subscribers be able to get both feeds on the sports end??

like sirius gets both home & away feeds BUT xm DOESNT

I've only listened to Baseball during the playoffs on XM, and there were three channels for each of the games I listened to. One for each of the teams and a national feed. The Sirius football I'm getting (by paying extra) is one feed per game best I can tell, except for maybe the Broncos/Browns game the other night, which had multiple channels.

Actually, Sirius provides home/away feeds for most NFL games.

they announced that the tom petty show is back for a 4th season

btw when the lineups become 1 - will xm subscribers have both feeds of sports like sirius gets???

Yes, the Giants / Eagles game yesterday had three feeds on XM...

THATS ON MONDAYS - IM TALKING ABOUT SUNDAYS

I ONLY GOT THE HOME FEED YESTERDAY (SUNDAY)

I believe that only the National TV games (Such as MNF and SNF) get both feeds on the XM side... Now with this channel consolidation, could that change? Its definitely a possibility...

I've been a loyal Sirius subscriber since 02/15/2003 - While I LOVE The Loft and Watercolors (coming to my Sirius radio soon) one channel lost in all the shuffle is SIRIUS DISORDER // 33 (formerly chnls. 70 & 38) - off-shoot of Organic Rock // 24 and e17 // 17 back in the day. What a wonderful free-form station, blending all great music genres programmed by a cast of real characters (led by head Disorderly Meg Griffin) I will miss this station VERY MUCHO --- Farewell 33 :'( - from a true Disorderly. The Loft will be a great channel in the spirit of Disorder - Joe G

Where did you see a new Sirius for Sirius customers lineup? I've been scouring the Internet and the message boards and have yet to see a lineup of what Sirius will look like for current Sirius users. All I see are lineups for what Sirius will look like for current XM users (and that generic ad in USA Today, which seems to list only the channels that will be on both, but not the ones exclusive to each). It would be a shame if Disorder is really dead; it's one of my favorites, too. As of right now, the Sirius home page still lists the current channel lineup for Sirus.

Hi, OldNumber7. Here's the link to the new lineup http://www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php/topic,113385.0.html#top - I was listening to Meg today and she was paying tribute to Warren Zevon and the song named after the channel 'Disorder' - 'Disorder In The House' - Meg sounded very sentimental without mentioning the channel's ultimate demise. :-[ I'm bummed out - but, we all know eventually 'Everything Changes'. Peace - Joe G

As I understand it, that's the link for the XM side of things, not for those of us with existing Sirius or am I mistaken???? I'm not saying that Disorder isn't gonna be gone, but I don't think this is the way that the Sirius side is gonna look. If it is the lineup, Sirius has done a LOUSY job (actually no job at all) preparing their customers. They are still running promos on the air for upcoming shows etc. on stations that supposedly won't exist tomorrow, and they haven't revised the lineup on their Web site. I did hear Meg mention she was moving to The Spectrum, which she said explicitly was channel 18 (where it is now on Sirius, but 45 on the revised XM).

Confirmed tonight, Sirius "Retired" channels include...

Disorder
Backspin
Punk
The Strobe
Boombox
Latin
E
Maxim

We will see at midnight!

I originally thought it was the XM side, but someone on the old Backstage confirmed this for me - I had another link but I'm at work but it confirmed what I originally linked earlier. I hope Meg stays on somewhere, i.e. The Spectrum - one of my fav channels. But, as you know It's not 'Disorder' :-[ JG

Funny, I saw it the exact opposite way. I'm an XM subscriber. Looks like mostly the same lineup with a few Sirius channels thrown in to the mix.
You guys are getting all the XM decades channels (80s on 8, 70s on 7, etc) and losing your versions of the same.

Actually they decided to keep the XM channel names but the Sirius DJs will be on most of those decade channels, with the exception of a few of course.
