New slogan for WOGL?

I've noticed the last 2 weeks that the Jocks have been billing WOGL as "The Greeatest Hits of the 60's and 70's." Just wondering if that will stay the slogan or are they just adding that on to "Motown, Soul, and Rock n Roll".

My guess is that they are slowly phasing it out - all other Infinity oldies stations (whats lef of them anyways) have dropped it. I allways thought Greatest Hits Of All Time was a better slogan (and encompassed all 50's/60's/70's), but with pre 64 music on thin ice at WOGL (and WOGL itself on thin ice), any oldies is good oldies.
______________

"WOGL itself on thin ice"....what the heck? Aren't they #3 12+? How is that on thin ice? They ARE playing the 400 biggest hits of the 60 and 70's this weekend, so perhaps the jocks are saying something to that effect. It might not even be a slogan at all.

If it is owned by Infinity, they are on thin ice.

A top 400 countdown itself seems kinda small - 500 would be better, but since there wouldnt be that many pre 64 songs, I digress....

What 3 oldies stations have gone Jack lately?

1)WCBS-FM 101.1
2)WQSR 102.7
3)WJMK-FM 104.3

What company ownes all three? Infinity - they are dropping oldies like it was the plauge....
______________

Hey TL...are you enjoying the "Beatles 400" countdown? LOL:)
Edit to add: I predict just like last year "Hey Jude" will be the number one song. Not one of my favorites, btw.
Edited by JoeyDee_WOGL on 07/02/05 08:41 PM.

The sad thing is, when other oldies stations started dropping like flies, Infinity seemed like the only company standing by the format. With them jumping ship, oldies are soon likely only to be found in small market stations, much like the adult standards format.
