There seems to be a KTJZ 97.5 in Tallulah, LA. No website yet. Did this sign on yet? I don't see a logo anywhere. Is it local or satellite? How is it sounding? I would like to know these things so any info would be appreciated.
Tallulah, that's like the last stop on the stephen king horror tour.that would be like playing classical in the MS Delta. But i'm sure it's Sat.delivered.That format is fading quickly, not much cume there,in Tallulah it won't matter.like the tree falling in the forest story, get it?
But the station is headed by the head of the Louisiana NAACP so he may be trying a format that isn't being played in the delta to try and get people to listen.
Well I saw it was noted as smooth jazz on radio-locator's website yet on 100000watts.com it says cp-new so it must not have signed on yet as 100000watts is usually more accurate. Anyone who doesn't know what they're doing would be a fool to try that format now I agree.
100000watts.com when I used to be on there was the most accurate out of the group and pretty much still is, as far as I know, Radio-locator I have caught them too many times with wrong format months after a flip. Check out 105.9 KFXZ which last I knew (and still shows in yes.com) as running a classic country format however the format is still listed as Gospel on radio-locator
But without being around there, can't confirm other than either the link I listed of a gospel show or actually emailing the owner at his fcc listed email address (on the application form)
But I do know that there is some hip hop stations, one Urban contemporary and couple of gospel stations. I also don't know what format if any KLSM is running right now, so that's maybe why they took what was left over in the form of smooth jazz... As I figured their targeted audience would be the older african americans who make up the area.
