new soft AC in Jacksonville, FL

WSOS-FM St Augustine/Jacksonville has dropped its hot AC format for "true" soft AC as "Sunny 94.1", not like that stuff WEJZ (Lite 96.1) calls soft AC. Ironic thing is, WSOS and WEJZ are both owned by Renda Broadcasting.

Anyone know if WSOS has a stream? They have a temporary site up with their new logo, but that's about it.

Here's the link to the Radio and Records article about the WSOS change:

I hope this "Sunny" format stays "Sunny" and doesn't get cloudy, like Philadelphia's "Sunny 104.5" which started out with the Beatles and Carpenters in 2002 and are now playing the B-52s and Paula Abdul.

Unfortunately, WSOS doesn't have streaming audio at this time.

Well, The Dove and WWRM, Tampa, are both owned by Cox, a
tradional soft AC/soft oldies that's always #1 and a more
contemporary soft AC that usually leads among women 25-54.

They both co-exist in the same market. So maybe Renda
Broadcasting is trying the same thing in Jacksonville as
in Tampa. And the ratings for the traditional soft AC
in West Palm Beach at 92.1 (used to be WRLX) are quite
good, even though contemporary soft AC WEAT is still #1.
