New Soft AC in Utica?

Pretty good signal from B95 to the west.

Was coming from Niagara on the thruway, (late afternoon) and noticed them poking through at about mile 267. This was maybe 20-30 miles west of Utica. (IIRC)

I picked this up in Kingston,Ont on 1480 am very weak. from what I could tell mostly voice tracked. The music was good for an Easy/Soft rock format.

I see Arbitron is going to issue "revised" ratings for Utica Rome on Tuesday 3/8. Apparently someone spotted that credit was given to WAQX 95.7 when it should have been give to WUTQ's translator on 95.5. Problem is, I just looked at WAQX's ratings for U. R. and it was 0.0. So it will be interesting to see what difference it will make.

One thing it does prove, it doesn't hurt to take a trip to Maryland to look over the returned diaries yourself.

WAQX had a 1.2 (12+) in the Utica-Rome book. 20 diaries were incorrectly credited to WAQX.

The ratings for WAQX are listed on my site (and other sites that post P12+ numbers) as 0.0 because Utica-Rome was released to the public as a "subscriber only" market. In other words, they only gave out the numbers for stations that already subscribe to the book... a "partial embargo" if you will.

Because neither Citadel nor Galaxy currently subscribe to Arbitron, all their stations are listed as 0.0 in the numbers provided to the general public. Only actual subscribers have the real numbers.
