New Sports Station hits Bismarck, ND

Fox Sports Radio just launched on KDKT-AM in the Bismarck, North Dakota market.
As a former resident, sports fan, and radio geek... I think it's a great thing! They already have a sports station there, however it pipes in syndicated programming from Minneapolis from the K-Fan Network. KDKT will also carry Jim Rome, which should really turn that area upside down! The signal covers a good portion on west-central North Dakota, so towns like Dickinson and Minot will get there sports fix as well. I hate to see what the FSR bashers will say next, but hey it's another affiliate guys!

Well, this station is not a Clear Station and it does not carry any other Premiere programming like Glenn Beck, Rush or Hendrie, so I guess the FSR bashers can't claim that it was a company mandate, or that they were forced to carry FSR in order to carry something else
 
I agree, glad to see a "sports alternative" in this market. 1410am is KDKT, and they have a pretty good day signal like mentioned. I really dig the fact that I can hear Jim Rome's show live, rather than late night! I'm sure many residents in the area like sports radio, but get a little tired of Minnesota sports-talk on K-Fan. I listen to both stations, but I really love the "North Dakota Attitude" promos on 1410! We really need a little jolt in the radio community up here... good luck Fox Sports 1410!
