Rumor mill;

Star 99.9 is supposedly changing its imaging and it's not known if they will change their format but something is up for a change starting tomorrow (Monday 9/19).

The book starts soon so we will have to see if they can do something to compete with WEBE better.

I notice the WEBE connection is his e-mail, "Cumulus Media".
As for Star are they more of a "New Haven" station now that
they are located in Milford along with sister station WPLR?
Star has also gone back to voice tracking on weekends,
but I also heard that Delilah beat Stars old night-time
personality that jumped ship to join WEBE, if ya can't beat
the compition I guess you have to buy them, but it didn't work.
A change is always good, but hopefully it will be for the listeners
and not for corprate greed, wish there were more "Mom and Pop" stations
that actually cared for the listeners (are there any left?).
I like Sam, she'll do a great job in the new slot, if that is the truth
to the rumour.
 
I don't know about rumors of format changes, but Samantha Stevens is the new PD at Star 99.9.<P ID="signature">______________

Thats the main thing, Samantha needs to add way more songs to their playlist which has been extremely weak in the past several years.

Listened to Samantha today and she sounds great, let's see what happens ratings wise.
