On Jan. 30/31, I experienced some great propagation to the north on AM. At 11:27 p.m. CT, I logged WPRR in Ada, Michigan, on 1680. The station was airing a talk show discussing elections with guest Harvey Wasserman. The signal was weak, and the broadcast matched the station's Simple Radio stream. This is my first logging of Michigan from San Antonio.
A little later, at 12:26 a.m., I logged KFRM in Salina, KS, underneath KTSA on 550. It was airing a talk show discussing boat rides and alligators in Florida, and the host was Donna Sullivan. Afterwards, the tri-state weather forecast for OK, NE, and KS was given.
KFRM's signal was weak to fair, and it was a really surprising catch since the only station I've ever heard in the partial null of KTSA is a very weak XETNC. As for WPRR, I've never heard a trace of it before, either. The propagation indices at that time were very good, and these receptions certainly reflected it.
