New station at 90.5

Appearently it's a music-'till-your-dead format. I bet it'll be a big hit at the retirement homes in that area. I can just imagine who the underwriters will be. I bet they'll have an easy sell to funeral homes, retirement villages, and medical services. Otherwise, who else wants 80 year olds that are attracted to Frank Sinatra and Rosemary Clooney?

People greatly underestimate this format. If done right, it can sell with the affluent as well as the elderly, much in the way that classical and jazz does.

In the market that the new 90.5 is going into it's hard to belive there would be enough of the non-old folks that like the format to make it work.
