new station in Pierson

Hello to all. I was looking at www.cflradio.net and it looks like z 88.3 is going to sign a station on in Pierson at 91.7 fm. The call letters are wdoz.

Turns out that this one is on the air. I could hear it here in Altamonte. Not very well but it is on the air. I take it the main 88.3 does not reach that area very well? Any news on the upgrade to 88.3? I know god will provide for it in his timing. :) I really do enjoy z 88.3 and the other stations these people have on the air. Their audio is second to none. Easily the best audio in this market.

There were several apps. Somehow Z out "pointed" even a local applicant which was "Remember When Public Radio." Greg Sherlock of 1060 WIXC was local which gets you an extra point in the comparative process. Z probably showed sufficient "gray" service* which will override a local's extra one point.

Had Greg gotten it, it would have been his great library of oldies, which he has a passion for. Well, maybe when the next LPFM window rolls around, Greg and others can take a shot. Z, and any part 73 licensee cannot apply for those.

*white and gray service areas are where the proposal brings first or second service to a significant more (2000?) residents. (NCE for NCE band band only)

I've heard better audio than Z88.3.
At leats to my ears which I know how subjective audio can be.
it wasn't in this markit, though.

If you want to have some good reading...do a search for IRS form 990 and enter "Central Florida Education Foundation". You will then see the latest 990 available, which is public information. Then scroll down to the payroll section and see how the BIG BUCK$ of this alleged "non-profit" are distributed...all in the name of "ministry". A ministry to whom???
