if anyone remembers italys former Radio CDR..Club Dance Radio, ive brought it back to the internet. I dumped Loud City for Cloud broadcaster, as its actually cheaper, the first 25 slots are free, you just have to pay royalties on your own. Plus it works through a router, and supports all players, Winamp, itunes, WMP, Quicktime, and realone. the playlist is Dance Classics by day, and current dance during evenings and nights.

And unlike loud City it supports up to 192k streaming, and it works through a router so I can have all PCs hooked up and broadcast round the clock.. Im only streaming at 128k though,, Its good enough, and plus some people with slower connections have problems with 192k buffering.

And now for our nighttime playlist,, Were first into some Deep house in the mix.. Our night time playlist is a mix of underground and mainstream dance, i havent yet figured out what format you would call our daytime playlist, but alot of classic dance from the 70s and 80s and even some AC and rock material, its almost a Rhythmic AC,, but anyway,, thanks for checking it out.. This is what the original Radio CDR in Rome Italy sounded like. Except I play trance, and Radio CDR the Original almost never played any trance.

Looks like as of now im playing 24/7 current dance... its to hard to daypart without using something like Zara software, cause I have to always be home,, plus someone made a good point,, dayparting on net stations isnt a good idea cause it always a different time of day around the globe,,Even some places is a different day altogether, so tune in and see what you think. Playist is heavy on undereground house, but has its share of trance and mainstream dance as well.

So have you entered into an agreement with SoundExchange and ASCAP/BMI/SESAC yet?

Cloud Broadcaster pays your royalties for a monthly fee as long as you have royalties enabled on your server.. Its like Loud City.. or live 365 except they dont charge for the server for anything under 25 slots... I wont need more than 25 slots for years,, if I ever get near that big I think its something like 79.99 a month... Also,, 99.9 percent is all DJ Mixes with their own music which have submitted their mixes to me.... ;)

I'm looking at the AutoDJ package, since I don't want my machine to constantly run 24/7.  So wait, your monthly fees cover royalties, but you need royalties enabled?  I'm lost.  I'm gonna pay the extra 10 or 25 bucks a month plus my streams.  Sounds similar to Live365 anyway, unless their AutoDJ software has gap killers in between songs.  But this doesnt cover royalties fully like Live365.

Also, another thing to point out but not that big a deal right now, but if you run "DJ Mixes" on your station you are supposed to, according to the DMCA, have the appropriate Title & Artist information displayed in your stream for each and every song played. I haven't seen this enforced by anyone but the ASCAPS/BMI/SESAC and SoundExchanges of the world certainly can at any moment.

Of course, reporting each and every song played in the mix to SoundExchange goes without saying.

;)

I usually tag all songs on every mix JP, except for the Lounge,, I may have to ask them if they can tag the songs,, Every thing else is fully tagged.

Actually to tag the songs each song would have to be sent by file in seperation with gapless plaYBACK... I dont see alot of DJs willing to do that.
