Isn't AGM supposed to launch a new Bakersfield station soon? Any word on the frequency or format?

KLRM...La Romantica, CP for COL Lost Hills, currently in SLO.

Also currently off-air... Anyone know more?

I smell a new Jug in town, personally.

And then there are TWO More.

KXTT Maricopa 94.9 and KEAL Taft 106.5.

Both are owned by College Creek Boradcasting with transmitter locations near KBDS (Play 103.9). They sould have simular coverage in Bakersfield. KXTT may have problems with KBOS on hot summer days.

Also...There's off the air CP KZPE 102.1 in Ford City.

With the Lost Hills move-in, that will make FOUR NEW FM's for the Bakersfield Market.

That pie of advertising dollars is going to get sliced pretty thin.

Some of those move-ins may have to go on the cheap.<P ID="signature">______________

Well, won't be a whole lot of competition....rimshots at best. I'd still place my money on AGM going with a country format on KLRM.

Although I once heard there was a verbal deal that if AGM went country, KUZZ-A would go talk....

As for the others, probably nothing that will be heard in town, just broadcasting to the local tule elk....
