New station?

I am picking up 107.1 FM playing lots of Tejano music.
No announcements, no commercials, no IDs. Just playing Tejano .

I want to add that this station has been going on still right now and all night too. Still no IDs but very choppy signal compared to yesterday.

Apparently people are starting to find out. And are posting about it on Facebook. Supposedly it's coming from Rosenberg

I'm hearing the station on 107.1 with a fair signal at my Cy-Fair location. It is probably K297BT, licensed to Rosenberg,which is a move-in from Sealy, originally allocated to 107.3. Didn't hear any announcements during the time I listened, so they are probably in testing mode. Radio-Locator shows KKBQ as the intended originating station, so this will be a HD subchannel rebroadcaster. 250 watts at 123 meters, transmitter located near Simonton.

So it will be another LATINO BROADCAST CORPORATION STATION. To bad it can't move any closer to Houston would be great to have a Tejano station again.

Loud and clear here in Spring (45 and 99 area). Getting out pretty well for 250w.

Will this effect the 107.1 translator in El Campo, the Spanish Christian station that repeats KTLZ?

That one covers a lot of ground for 115 watts. You can hear it from Kendleton down to Ganado.

Bumping this thread, wondering if anyone has heard any announcements on the 107.1 signal. I sure haven't at a number of checks; seems to still be mostly Tejano music, but I did hear one English language Country song, as well as a Smooth Jazz tune.

I was trying to listen I heard a guy talking the other day but not sure if it was part of the song. I couldn't catch what he was saying due to the poor signal here in The Northside.

Tejano is gone!! On my morning drive and it is now 6:54 AM I am listening to Christian music in Spanish and is not the same music playing on 94.1 FM right now on 94.1 FM they have a sports talk show and on 107.1 FM they have church music

During my Thursday evening commute 107.1 was playing Christmas music, pretty much all in Spanish although there was one Nat King Cole tune in the mix. There was also a TOH imaging announcement, but I was in a dead spot for the signal at the time and missed most of it.

I suspect the ultimate format will launch after Christmas.

I missed the name of the station too since I was also at a dead spot. Did manage to hear most of the TOH announcement, it said playing all the hits of your time. (Tocando los éxitos de tu época)

And it gave the name of the station LA _____ 107.1

Missed the name but has been playing Christian music. But it didn't sound like the same guy from LA NUEVA and La MEJOR.

La Mana is what I thought I had heard the other night, but wasn't sure. The 469 area code would be Dallas, and there is a Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie. As far as the call, there is a KYEB (an LPFM also on 107.1) in Garland which has a Spanish language religious format, but I would have no idea if the two stations are related. Will have to listen further for more clues.

The info in the FCC database still has KKBQ as the originating station, but the programming does not match any of the 92.9 HD channels, nor anything on the other Cox signals.

Agree that the audio quality has improved.
