Hopefully, for her own sake, she'll get some outside sales training! She sure won't get any quality input from Gig or from the wanna-be-that-never-was, Tom Collins! (Why is he still there???)

Great idea! Makes sense to put your 20-something year old daughter in charge of veteran sellers. I'm sure they're all real happy about it. It'll be good for station morale and a great savings!
 
::) If the 20 year veterans can't sell..and don't produce, then "What difference does it make"!?
 
And besides, no veteran seller really wants to be sales manager! Too much paperwork, not enough selling time!

Station morale? Not in this building! The vast majority have absolutely no respect for management and welcome the day that Tom Collins would escorted out the door and Gig Hilton finally sold the place to someone that knows a little something about how to run a successful radio operation. Better do it soon. The price seems to be dropping every day.
 
Now that's not fair. Gig has worked SO hard to make this station a success! If only he could've gotten that tower he wanted - then he'd have shown you all! It just makes sense for his daughter to be sales manager. You don't really need sales or managment experience for that job, anyway. I mean, what's really involved? You just raise and lower the rates, collect call sheets, and hold sales meetings. There's nothing to it. Plus, then she won't have to make those pesky sales calls and deal with all those people who were mean and nasty to her. No, she'll have sales people under her that can do THAT work. Programming and decision-making, now those are her real strengths.
 
;D Works for me! Seems like I remember back in the 60's or early 70's, Gig's Dad sent me home and told me "Just stay there a while" I'll send you a check in the mail..You can come back next year!!" Worked for me..Wonder why those checks stopped??
