I've gotta say, it doesn't sound like a bad format. Less restrictive than your typical country station.

Believe it or not, this kind of format goes back to 1991 here in Northeast Ohio.

Youngstown market "95.9 WAX FM" (WAXF-FM Sharpsville PA) ran a format very similar to what's described above. Instead of calling itself a "country" or "country/rock" station, "WAX FM" used the on-air slogan..."Good Times and Great Music".

It didn't last very long. Not because it wasn't successful...but because the one-man owner basically ran out of money just months after launching.

Citadel has one in the New Orleans,Louisiana market created post Katrina from a literaly blown up Alternative Rocker (Does a 10 foot pole thru the transmitter shack count as blown up:)

Unfortunely, It sounds more like a train wreck then anything currently. 70s Classic Rock mixed with male oriented country songs both Classic and Modern country. Morning show is the former Alt rocker's mornign show. The station is starting to get better but playlist includes many songs I would place on burned out status.
