For the record, AA announced it had renewed its lease on WLIB in New York yesterday, although that would have been well past this article's press time.

As for the producer quoted in the article:

1. Anyone who read this board from the date the sale was announced to the day it closed and changed format knew the format's days were numbered.

2. Anyone who read the Randi Rhodes show board from the day the sale was announced to the day it closed and changed format knew the format's days were numbered.

3. "We're gonna find a rich Democrat." What exactly are you smoking? Any radio station you could afford to buy isn't worth buying.

Christy seems pretty much rooted in reality here.<P ID="signature">______________

Jim Pederson needs his dough in the uphill battle to unseat Kyl. Who does that leave? Hmmmmm...Nurse Jeff and I know a chubby Chandler grocer they may want to approach!

Good God. The last line of the article says it all. Progressive Talk needs to be run on sound business principles, not on emotion. There are several VERY successful lefty talk stations around the country, and they are all run by people who understand that talk radio is show BUSINESS. It doesn't matter what political persuasion you espouse.... you gotta make money at it.
