New Times Best of Phoenix 2020

Best Radio Station: (the NPR affiliate everyone calls NPR)
Best Independent: KCDX 103.1
Best Morning Show: The Dana Cortez Show, Power 98.3/96.1

I have to give it up for KJZZ. They do this weird thing that seems to be in short supply in Phoenix radio: Journalism.

A couple years ago I got to tour the studios, and the news room was impressive. Yeah, the station is mostly national shows (Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Marketplace) but the local operation is on point.

And Blaise Lantana IS the jazz in K-Jazz.

Amen to that, KJZZ is the best station. No yelling, no screaming. But you will learn something, and you will get an honest telling of the day's events.
