Hello, thanks for the add! We've lived here for 5 years, I got a PL 880 receiver that rekindled an interest in MW, FM, and shortwave. A great spot for FM, and good for east coast catches as well. If you have any questions about silent stations, formatting changes, etc in NE SC and SE NC, please reach out..

Hi @Patrick 29582

I used to be a big PL880 fan, damn good audio and selectivity for the price.. I use a different radio now thats just as good, if not better, the ATS25 max/=/X1. Its actualyl cheaper than the PL880 audio and selectivity and sensitvity is even better.. and has more and better audio bandwith filters

I am a fairly accomplished SW DXer and work in broadcast. I manage an NPR station in remote alaska, but I voicetrack for a few stations, including one in your backyard... Carolina gold 93.7/93.9/106.3 where i do weekday overnights

I miss the days when The Sun News really covered radio and TV in your area. And unfortunately, unless you know something, the majority of that coverage has disappeared off the face of the Earth. Someone decided the weekly TV section didn't need microfilming but from 1994 to 2000, that's where most of it was. NewsBank had the articles starting in June 1996 but removed most of them claiming they were written by a freelancer. Most, not all. Why was it permitted to have some of those articles kept and not others?

I'm still fascinated by Grand Strand radio, especially since these days it's a challenge to find anything good with just a radio in the car when I make my annual visit. There are four stations that play some good songs, but I find myself having to change stations at times with all of them.

That's a nice selection of music y'all play on 93.9. Enjoy it!
