I don't know too much about the traditions of the Savannah radio scene, given my relative newness here.

The only real big local show that I can tell makes waves is "Dixon and Dooley" on Kix 96. Other shows include John Boy and Billy on 95.5, and Lex and Terry on 106.1. Delilah is on nights at 98.7 the River, Lia is on from 10-12 on Kix, the Caveman puts on a very phone intensive show on 95.5, Z-102 puts on a decent night show...and that's all I can think of right now.

Hope that helped and hope you enjoy the Coastal Empire!

And Mike and Laura are on Triad's Gator 106.9 (and have been for a few years) after being let go from Cumulus's KIX 96.

Hi Radio-X,

Thanks for the mention of our show! I scan the message boards sometimes, and it always feels good when you are mentioned in a positive way. I'm glad you noticed us.

Dutch Dooley - Kix96

I've had the pleasure of working with Dixon and Dooley and they are really great. Savannah radio would benefit from more local shows like theirs. They put much more effort into making their show a success than most of the "talent" in the area. Most stations have resorted to playing those schmaltzy syndicated shows in the mornings. Here's to hoping most PDs will change their minds and go with solid local talent.
