New To Sirius - SIGNAL QUESTION

Just connected my Sirius radio today. Satellite signal fluctuates between Zero and Two bars. Terrestrial Signal stays at a steady Four Bars. What signal am I picking up. Am I hearing a direct satellite signal (or) am I just picking up the repeater signal at all times?

The radios will choose whatever signal is the strongest. In your case your radio is playing the signal from the repeater.

What city are you in? If its a major metro you most likely are getting repeater signal, which can overide the sat one.

Well I've experimented with different antenna locations since yesterday. Today I moved the antenna from the window sill and put it on my TV. The satellite signal then improved by 35 percent. Just a few minutes ago I went into the other room and adjusted an FM Antenna to another stereo. Then I came back into the room that has the Sirius receiver and for some reason I had a full 6 bars Satellite reception! Did moving a few unrelated wires in the next room do something to improve the satellite reception? It doesn't seem to make much sense to me.... but I'm not going to complain! :)
