new to sirius.

i just subscribed to sirius after having xm since 2002. i am keeping my xm btw :) and i noticed something. all the djs. no matter the channel seem to want to cuss at any given time. for no good reason. does it bother me no. but the question is why? yea they are uncensored but do they have to say things just for the sake of doing it. the dj on the vault just did while introducing steely dan. i even heard one of the countrey js do it. i also noticed there are no xl channels on sirius. so do they all do that? i know the christian and kids channels wouldnt but do all the rock and country stations ? urban?

Of my five most listened to music stations on Sirius, I have heard an FCC-banned (on AM-FM) word only on occasion on 18-Spectrum. One jock on 22-First Wave pushes the envelope sometimes with language but doesn't go over the line. I can honestly say on the other three channels I listen to, I've never heard "cussing."

Then there are about another five music channels I listen to "sometimes." I haven't heard cussing on them either.

Of course, some of the channels at 100 and above probably deal i cussing on an hourly basis. Not that there's anything wrong with that ...

no problem i was just curious. more curious actually as to why xm has xl channels but sirius doesnt. i heard the f word on the vault, buzzsaw and outlaw country today.

I think it depends what channels you listen to, hip hop and the harder rock ones I am sure they do, but the decades channels, urban ac, jazz, & classic rock ones I never hear cuss words. I am willing to bet the ones you listen to are the type of music/format ones that lean toward the cussing jocks style.

favs are the vault, outlaw country, buzzsaw and classic rewind. also..i aint hearing the repeats like i was told i would :)
personal observations. rock is better on sirius if you like classic rock/metal..alt rock is better on xm..country is better on xm..except for outlaw country which is better than xm 12 x country. hits stations are better on sirius. christian is better on sirius..jazz and blues is better on xm. hey i have the best of both worlds..im happy :)

I switched to siri a year ago after 6 months on xm. listen to rock mainly classic, jazz, hip hop, reggae and stern.

do not ever recall cussing on vault, its one of my top 10 channels.

i hear cissing on stern, hip hop channels, siri stars and raw dog. oh i've heard madison on alt nation cuss.

agree siri classic rock is better, disagree on jazz think siri is far better. obviously completely subjective.
also think siri hip hop is superior.

the repeat thing is way overstated although i thought xm classic rock leaned more toward the obscure.

i prefer siri but could be satisfied with xm if forced.
