NEW TO THE LA MARKET

I was wondering if anyone knows of any stations out here in LA looking for an on air personality? I have major market experience and I am currently living in LA. I have a web site with air checks, videos and resume. I figured a web site would be better than clogging up a PD’s email with an MP3. If you guys get a chance please check it out.

LA is (now) a whorehouse market!

I love L.A. and frankly wouldn't live anywhere else, but in the past few years this radio market has become a whorehouse, cutthroat one (Thanks, CC!). If I were you, I'd turn around and leave.

Radio here ceased being fun a while ago....

LA is highly competitive, not just for radio, but pretty much for everything. I think you might have a better shot with Inland Empire (Riverside-San Bernardino areas) radio, about 40 miles east of LA. There are still several non-corporate stations out there and IMO, better than the cookie cutter LA stations.

Frankly, radio has dropped so far from being any kind of legitamate entity that if I were you I'd go into a business with a definite future and unlimited potential...gravedigging.
