New Top-Of-The-Hour ID For Q100

I just heard a new top-of-the-hour ID for Q100. It goes something like this:
WWWQ College Park/Atlanta. A Cumulus station. The Arbitron numbers are in and you did it! Thanks for making Q100 Atlanta's most-listened to Top40 station. 10-in-a-row starts now on Q100!"

I guess they are going by certain demos since Star94 still has a better 12+ rating (barely).

You could almost make the case that Q100 being the most listened to Top 40 station, since Star 94 sort of straddles the fence between CHR and a Hot AC.

If you want to call Star 94 a top 40.

Just remember, no matter what your numbers you can be Arbitron-rated #1 in something, even if it's just your positioning statement. For example, I used to work at an AC station that was in the middle of the ratings pack. We weren't #1 in a single demo, but dammit we were "Arbitron rated #1 for the best mix of soft rock." And it's true, technically. That's all the Arbitron-rated claims are anyway.

I still prefer the old Q100 legals that had the three artists identifying themselves, with the third artist adding "It's (X)o'clock at Atlanta's home for All The Hits..."

Speaking of which, it still drives me up the wall to hear anything on that station that doesn't have "All The Hits" in front of "Q100". Apparently effectively positioning went out the door when Susquehanna did...

Positioning statements don't matter. People do not care. All The Hits, The #1 Hit Music Station, #1 for Music and Fun, #1 for African Tribal Music...Who cares? Effective positioning is done with music flow and jocks, the personality is the position.

I disagree, with Susquenhanna Q100's positioning was all over the place. Now's it's either 'All The Hits' or '10 in a row'. Granted, it's not as fun as a station to listen to now, especially w/o Geller at night, and now the loss of TSJ in middays.
